to the real story of Kelly this version is funny. The only part of it remotely like the true story is that he had a hard nosed girlfriend and he gave up to the FBI led by Melvin Purvis. The rest is pure crap, but entertaining. Not enuff machine gun in it for me.

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

It's Roger Corman, it's supposed to be this way.

Yeah, all they really did was take the name and a couple details about his life, like his girlfriend. But as you can see, the movie is far from the true story. It never tries to be. It is inspired by the true story if anything. Besides George Machine Gun Kelly, all the names are changed and there are fictional characters. The movie is not supposed to be the true story. It's a good movie and one of my favorite by Corman.

'THE TITLE CHARACTER UPON WHICH THIS STORY IS BASED IS TRUE. The other characters, all events and firms, depicted are fictional. Any similarity to actual persons living or dead is purely coincidental.'

That exact statement or warning was in the opening titles, so I don't understand how anyone can be mad because of the film's inaccuracies. It was pure fiction. Otherwise it was one of the best Corman's films. 6/10.

He came into town with his cock in hand, and what he did with it was illegal in 49 states.
