Ed's fate

I guess Ed the unlucky funeral director got the chair since he's listed among the Dead in the end credits.

I came here to start a thread on this subject.

The credits list Ed among the dead at the end of the film, but he is alive when the film ends. I don't get it. Perhaps you are right, but I doubt he would receive capital punishment for the type of crimes he committed.

I really like the credits at the end, listing who is dead and who is alive with the cartoon of the horse drawn hearses and the characters following on foot.

Did you notice that Ed's last name is mispelled in the credits? He is listed as "Ed Guiley". When I first read that, I couldn't figure out who that was. I went back and watched the beginning of the movie and noticed "Quigley" painted on the window of the funeral parlor. I suppose that was just a typo.

Anyhow, why is he listed with the dead?

Did you forget he shot the doc, pretty much without provocation, who ended up dying? Why shouldn't that get the death penalty? There's no other explanation.

reply

Yeah, I forgot about him shooting the doc. That would explain it I reckon.
