Visual and Sound - Top Notch

Had this on as background tonight as it played on TCM. I was working so I couldn't get into the story and can't comment on that, but the visual style, the jazz soundtrack and the ambient sound was great. It really put me on the street in that setting and time. I've got it on a list to watch with Streetcar Named Desire when I revisit that one day.

I was considering staying up through the night to watch LBIA at 3:15 am (Eastern time) when TCM was going to show it, but then the cable went out at 1:00 am. The cable would remain out through 5:00 am before it came back, by which time I was asleep. So my chances of seeing LBIA were ruined because of this. However, PBS is showing it Saturday, Nov 21. PBS shows movies uncut and uninterrupted so this next time will be the time to watch it.

PBS in Philadelphia showed it tonight. Throughout the '60's, The Late Show on commercial channels often featured this film.
