The scene in the steam room was actually shot in the steam room of the Embarcadero YMCA, right across from the Ferry Building. Both that YMCA and the steam room are still there and in full operation. Just had a steam there the other day.

When the rest of America hears "San Fransisco, YMCA and Steam Room" all in the same sentence. You know what they're thinking, Right?
