Max Brand

By coincidence I saw this movie in 1959 shortly after reading the novel on which it was based which it followed very closely. The book was penned under the name of "Evan Evans" which I knew even then was Frederick Faust or "Max Brand". It still bothers me that he was not credited by any name. Unfortunately, I don't recall the title of the original work but it wasn't as in the movie. The book was not re-released in conjunction with the movie but was a hardback in the library at the base at which I was stationed.
