I was just in New Orleans, and visited the preservation hall at one point. it looks identical to the set used in a few scenes. Does any one know if this is the location used in the film? Or as a tourist am I mistaking this set with another similar looking spot in New Orleans?

I was recently at Preservation Hall and noticed that the Elvis film
King Creole seems to have bee filmed there. Is this true? Or at least
in the back part with the rooms.

To answer your question - you are absolutely right! Parts of the Hall were used in the filming of King Creole, though only the courtyard and the stairs leading up to the back apartment. All the interior room shots were done at a different location. Movie magic at its best!
