Anybody want banana?

I always figured this was a tribute to Josephine Baker, who was infamous for, among other things, her nude Banana Dance in the 1920's. Don't know if it was the same song, but the same idea for sure.
As well, the French musical that helped Josephine launch her career was titled La Creole, probably not coincidentally.
