The fight between Rokurota and Hyoe

I think this was my favorite scene- not just because of the fight itself, but how the Yamanas show their respect and fear for Rokurota. Even as he is encircled by 100 men, Hyoe warns them that Rokurota is stronger than all of them.

The qualities of honor, dignity, respect, and shame all come to the forefront in this scene. In almost any non-Japanese context, Rokurota would have been killed even if he defeated Hyoe. The shame of Hyoe being defeated in a duel in front of his own men is executed so well here.

That fight is one of the 10 greatest 1 on 1 fights ever put on screen.
