Good b-movie.

If this had been made by Universal, I feel like it would be better remembered today. As it stands, it was made by an independent studio and is fairly obscure. What few people know about it mostly know it on account of it more or less inspiring Alien (1979).


The film has a cool monster design, some interesting dialogue between the cast members, and it gets right to the action. There's no harm in building suspense, but it's refreshing to have a film for once which jumps almost straight to the action and shows you the monster from the get-go.
