That was some apartment she lived in! In fact, all of the locations were opulent. Liked it very much.

I agree. I loved her apartment. The high ceilings, the many colored frames. They had class back then, though. Not to say we don't today, but there was an inherent "classiness."

Clothes had clean lines, and were made from better materials (because manufacturers hadn't quite figure out how to make things cheaply ... but I digress). :)

Loved Ingrid's wardrobe.

I loved the nested framed drawings with the red, yellow, blue etc. coloured matt boards. I just loved it. Also, you cant just leave you keys in a vase at the front door anymore.

I also agree. Her apartment was gorgeous, one of my most favourite things of the film along with the music score.

I'm going to copy those coloured frames, as soon as I have a house with a big enough wall.

The black and white prints inside - did anyone see what they were? I'm thinking I might use Aubrey Beardsley prints.

It's on tonight!! Just got a glimpse of that fabulous apartment and that wonderful wall of colorfully matted pictures!!

Most of the sets are rather 'stagey' in that most of the rooms aren't rectangular and that most of the sets have little stairs to contain the view.

It was originally a play - "Kind Sir", which is how Anna refers to Philip at one point - directed by Joshua Logan.
