Incorrect music used on movie themes LP?

In the very early 1960's, there was a popular record album entitled GREAT MOTION PICTURE THEMES. One of the tracks was listed as "I Want to Live," credited to Gerry Mulligan (and possibly Shelly Manne as well). The music was very scary, almost something you'd expect to hear in an episode of "The Twilight Zone."

Fast forward to the year 2012. Sepia Records of England released a CD reissue of the GREAT MOTION PICTURE THEMES album, supplemented with other movie themes taken from a different album.

The theme from "I Want to Live" on the Sepia CD is a totally different piece of music, compared to the old 1960's LP. It's jazzy and moody, not scary like the music on the old LP.

Does anybody know why Sepia changed the music theme for "I Want to Live"? I'm wondering if the scary music on the old LP was a pressing error? Perhaps Sepia corrected a long-standing mistake?
