Surprised At...
I enjoyed this film very much,especially as a fan of history.However,while it clearly establishes Emile Zola's crucial role in this true life case,it surprised me that they never mention Zola's tragic death at all in the movie.
shareI don't think including Zola's death in the movie would have added anything to it. I know he played a significant role in the whole 'affair', more than what was shown, but what they put in was enough. Many of the people in Dreyfus' life were kept in the periphery of the story in order for the focus to remain on him.
