Do you think they would ever get together? The ending was a little vague mostly because it was more about Charlotte getting the help she needed rather then her love life.

This reply is a little late now, but I think they might have gotten together. Charlotte was way too damaged at that point to feel much of anything except self-preservation. In time she may have, or not, but I bet they'll always be good friends. In dating relationships, so much of it is timing.

Yes, I think they probably did get together. I like to think Charlotte became more in touch with reality rather quickly. She was no longer staunchly committed to a marriage and extended family who weren't as concerned with her best interests as they pretended to be. Jake and "Ham" (even with his drinking) were good examples for her of what love really is. She appeared to have the strength and optimism to start a new, healthier and more enjoyable life. I think she eventually was open to the idea of having a life with Jake.
