Compare Mr. Albert here to his role in Green Acres (and other "typical" Eddie Albert movies). Wow. Excellent role for him here. Some scenes are good enough he should have been nominated for a supporting role.

Other performances are good also. Everett Sloane for one. Later in his career.

I have not seen Murphy in many roles, but he is good in this one.

Lots of familiar faces from the 30s to the 50s. Interesting.

It is a fantastic Eddie Albert performance. He did a few dramatic gems here and there, this is a nice surprise.
