shareA movie I have been wanting to see since forever and probably Ms. Louise's only respectable film performance. White trash Southern drama, a genre so typically American and without equal anywhere else in the world. You never know whether to laugh or cry about all that overheated melodrama, infused with repressed sexuality, simmering violence and religious fervour, but it always reels you in.

Sorry - Louise is not good in this, whatsoever. All-around, the acting is terrible.
Being an actual Southerner, I don't care for the fantasy elements.
It'll be airing again on TCM on November 22, 2012 at 6:30am.
