Book vs. Movie

I have just seen the movie on DVD after reading the book last week. The movie really had to be tamed down, because the book was actually so controversial a judge had to decide if it was pornographic or not. It was juicy reading, and I can see why there was an uproar back when first published. For instance, not only did Will Thompson finally get his way with Griselda, but he also did with Darling Jill just hours earlier. When he seduced Griselda in a drunken frenzy, he stripped her naked, shedding her clothes as he went, right in front of the family --and his own wife. Ty Ty, her father-in-law, liked to watch her get undressed at night. There were many differences in book and movie. The book had Ty Ty searching for a lode of gold ore, not his grandfather's buried treasure. Certain scenes were omitted - some for obvious reasons - like the sex scenes. But the movie implied them - and the viewer has no problem knowing that. If you liked this movie, you must read the book and see what the producers didn't dare show us on the big screen!

Over here in Swaziland the movie was retitled "Barebones in Botrice", but it still stunk.

Sacred cows make delicious hamburgers.

Everything stinks in Swaziland, likely due to all those sacred cow burgers so how can you differentiate??? ?
