I saw another movie just like this made in the 40's, it was the same plot but i can't rember the name.

According to TMC it was a remake of "Sentimental Journey".

I just posted regarding Sentimental Journey. I liked the original much better than this one. The child actress in the original was Connie Marshall. She was in several other movies and was a fine young actress. See the original and compare.
