Thanks for the information I appreciate your answering my plea. I think though that it must just be in the USA. I am in the UK.

I loved this film too. It reminded me of a similar movied called "Sentimental Journey". It starred Maureen O'Hara as Julie. The little girl in that movie was named Hittie as well.

I know where you can get this on DVD. Email me at [email protected]

Same names of the characters, too. I'm glad someone made note of this being a remake (soap_luvr-2 too)!

I have been working while watching, but this little girl is sort of grating on my nerves. She's cute, but...I'll reserve further judgement of this movie, until I have a chance to view in its entirety (burning to DVD currently). Sentimental Journey was filled with smaltz, but how can you not love Maureen O'Hara and John Payne? Love these stars too (Lauren and Bob).

To Stargzn I think it was you who sent me a PM about the film Gift of Love. I inadvertantly deleted instead of pushing the reply button, just wanted to thank you very much, I do in fact have a copy of the gift of love now I bought from a guy in Canada and have managed to purchase a multi region DVD player. I am a Robert Stack Freak and am on a constant lookout for his movies. Next ones I am eager to get hold of are John Paul Jones, The Mortal Storm, Men of Texas and The Caretakers. Thanks again for the trouble you took you are so Kind. Val Mckinley

Yes, that was me. You're welcome! Happy to hear you have a copy. (somehow I missed seeing the earlier comment, regarding your acquired copy!)

I had sent you a second note...and I mention Mortal Storm!

After I sent the first note, I saw what a fan you are of the wonderful Mr. Stack. In the 90's I lived in Los Angeles, and I took a picture of Robert, outside of Chasen's. If I had more film, I would have taken more, but there were a lot of stars that day, and I just happened to drive by, and had my camera, so I didn't have time to get more film. : ( But, I think it is a good pic of him.

I'd be happy to send it.

Have you seen The Mortal Storm? Oh my gosh. I saw this for the first time a couple of years ago. Not only is he a hunk in this pic, but I was blown away by this movie.

Hope to hear from you.

Stack was great in Written On The Wind with Lauren Bacall, Rock Hudson and Dorothy Malone.
