The war in Korea

They show Mr Wooley going to the front with the Korea war still going on, which more or less ended in 1954, this film is 1958, if it does take place in earler times this was not noted. Never could understand that part.

There were still "peacekeeping" troops in South Korea at that time, for all I know there still could be.

The Korean War never officially ended. Nobody surrendered, both sides just stopped fighting.

Right but there was no more fighting in 1958 the writers played fast and loose with the facts.

I was only 11 back then and I knew there was no more Korean war.

Which reminds me of a funny story:
That same year we went to see RODAN and the co-feature was "Battle Hell" a very slow moving war film about Korea. At one point I said to my sister and her girl friend "This is some *beep* boring Battle Hell" Mind you at that time I had never used the F word and it was a few years until I used it again and no my sister didn't tell our parents.
