Things change

I remember seeing this movie as a young lad. Remember! hardly ever forget it. It certainly did it's job as horror. I couldn't sleep that night. The nights following were also rather disturbed. I'm amazed nowadays as I watch my own sons watching things that at my age would of freaked me out. They certainly do not look frightened by any of it. They would do nothing but laugh at this amazing movie if they saw it.

Yeah, it's a tragedy. I remember watching that rerelease of The Exorcist in the late 90s or something. People laughed a lot and thought it was quite funny... I while ago a friend of mine and his (14 years younger) girlfriend wanted to watch a truely intens horror movie, so he put on one of his favorites, the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre. She didn't find it scary at all.

Times change indeed, I guess.

But maybe you could show your kids Martyrs, maybe that will scare 'em ;)

I wonder what today's movies will be like in 50 years time. Assuming people will still watch movies then. with how fast technology is changing and growing these days who knows what people do later on? I watched this movie for the first time today, though. I found it to be completely satisfactory.
