Surprisingly hot dream scene!

The most interesting things about this movie is the use of induced dreams to bend peoples minds. The unfortunate men then come under the control of the "Mr. Big". This was quite unusual subject matter for films in the 1950s. Even more unusual is that the dreams are blatantly sexual. Not surprisingly the film was was censored here and there by the BBFC - but it was still released under a "A" certificate.
How these sex dreams are supposed to bend the minds of the dreamers is rather unclear. The "guinea pigs" are told they are being subjected to a new form of sleep therapy. We see this being carried out on a middle-aged man. At first the dreams are nice and sexy with scantily clad kissing couples but in later sessions we see nasty stuff like a woman coming towards us with a hot poker!
Later we see a sexy black woman dancing and there is some murky stuff with a woman cavorting around on a spider web! All very weird - its almost like a psychedelic film from the 1960s but coming a decade too soon. However poor the film maybe as a thriller these scenes alone make it interesting to watch.
