This very effective, equally scary and funny thriller, may be the best Norwegian movie ever- it's a shame it's never been released on DVD given its popularity.
It deserves to be releases in a remastered, cared-for edition.
Check www.platekompaniet.no from time to time, they're the leading shop in Norway.
Also, it's on Norwegian TV (Nrk1) this Saturday august 25th) - the action also takes place a moonlit week-end late august ...
Based on a book by Andre Bjerke (alias Bernhard Borge) who also plays in the movie. He has written several thrillers in the same vein that have incredibly never been filmed. Another good Norwegian thriller is "Døden er et kjærtegn"
from the late forties by the great director Edith Carlmar - possibly the
only ever Norwegian film-noir. This one have been released on DVD, not sure about
any subtitles, though...
