metaphor for homosexuality


Am I the only person who understood the wardrobe as a metaphor for homosexuality. The two men are physically intimate with each other near the end of the film and there are "playful antics" at the beginning of the film. The two men, who are never separate from each other, are rejected whenever they carry the wardrobe - in a restaurant, a hotel. They are also bashed.

Yes, that is the point of the whole film. The wardrobe can be anything, them being jewish, them being different. its universal. Regardless of what it is, they are discriminated against until they go back where they came from.
