Dunkirk in the Cinema ... Again!

Dunkirk was as important an event in WW2 as was the Normandy invasion. Dunkirk was Britain's Pearl Harbor (11,000 dead ... 50,000 captured ... infrastructure devastated)... yet 350,000 were saved and resolve was born in the UK.

Despite Dunkirk's importance the cinema has never given Dunkirk's it's props. This movie has lead the way since 1958 ... then there was a BBC TV movie in 2004 (Timothy Dalton) that is hard to find ... finally Dunkirk played a supporting role in the 2007 film "Atonement" (Keira Knightley).

This week it was announced that Director Christopher Nolan will be going back to Dunkirk and WW2 fans should be giddy! Imagine Dunkirk presented with "Saving Private Ryan" technology!

Lets hope they play tight with history and keep the romance at a minimum (I'm talking to you Pearl Harbor)!

Nolans version has no "Saving Private Ryan" technology and has no romance and has absolutely no story.
