Another desert war movie?

Years ago (40+) I caught the beginning of a movie on TV. A tank was rolling across the desert with an unconcious man laying on the back. As the tank rolls over some sand dunes he falls off.

I'd love to see the end of it. Does anyone know the name or cast of the movie?

Hi Dudley, the only one I can think of that comes close to the one you saw the beginning of, was the 1943 Billy Wilder film "Five Graves to Cairo"
This starred Franchot Tone, Anne Baxter and Erich Von Stronheim as Field Marshall Erwin Rommel and it takes place in the African Desert and Tone is a member of British Army Tank company who comes around inside the tank where everyone is dead due to the exhaust leaking fumes, climbing out he finds the Tank Commander is also dead and the Tank running across the sea of sand.
Tone falls unconscious hanging over the top hatch and survives due to getting fresh air but on the drop of the next dune he falls out and rolls away from the tank which continues on it's way.
After a while he recovers and staggers for quite a while until he sees a distant hotel on the main road from Tobruk to Cairo which he enters and after calling for room service he collapses on the floor.

Hope this helps
Bob
