Massive Fail!!!

This film could have been quite enduring had it been more true to it's basic story. That is the story of William Orlando Darby and the formulation ... and performance ... of his Army Rangers. More so had the film been a little more true about the Ranger's roles in N Africa and Sicily and Italy. This was the beginning of a great division of the US Army and you really don't get much of a feel for that.

Instead we get things like an affair between a bumpkin sex addict and a elderly professor's hot young wife! Massive fail!
