The laughable ending

Bullets can't stop him and he beats up the cops, but he goes into the water and dissolves. Oh man, what a joke lol. What a bad movie. I also love how they take a real life tragedy and make the monster someone that perished at Pompeii. All of those poor people died at Pompeii and they figure, "Hey, let's make a movie about a victim of Pompeii that comes back as a monster." I've seen pictures of people that died that look like the "Faceless Man," and it is not a pretty sight. It's sad, depressing, and morbid. But the filmmakers had the idea to make a movie about a mummy like monster that looks like that.

It is ridiculous because the actual death cast Pompeii victims have a plaster shell. Everyone must be shooting BBs if they can't damage him.

I've been to Pompeii and seeing some of the people still in the spot where they died and so lifelike is the closest link one could get to real people who lived almost 2000 years ago. I can understand how a writer could be inspired to do a mummy take on the Pompeii victims if one goes there and sees them, but you're right it is rather in poor taste and one of those decisions people when older and wiser would probably think back on and cringe.

Overall the primary reason this was watchable to me is the fact it is so short. Longer and it would have worn out its welcome for sure. Also Richard Anderson somehow manages to give a competent performance even in those B-movie surroundings. So I respect that.

Yeah, I just can't see past that. To me, it's like making a movie about another tragedy with a victim that perished coming back from the dead to wreak havoc. The mere thought of those poor people dying and the sight of those people dead in the plaster, is just horrible. Then these idiots decide to make a movie about a Pompeii victim coming back from the dead like a mummy. It was in very poor taste.

Did you ever see the movie Ghostbusters II? I posted a long time ago on that message board that I thought the Titanic scene was beyond creepy. Remember when all of the ghosts were all over New York and the Titanic shows up and you see the Titanic with a hole in it and all the people that died walking around as ghosts? That scene was very creepy and in poor taste. To me, that would be like showing a ghostly image of the Twin Towers and seeing those people that died walking around as ghosts.
