Should have killed Lemmon's career

This movie is as bad as it gets. Glenn Ford's character is nothing but an awful pri ck, mean, selfish, stupid. The relationship with Lemmon is sadistic, exploitative to the max. One of the cowhands is murdered by another cowhand, using a rattle snake, throws it and it wraps around his neck, bites him and kills him. Ford just blows it off as one of those things. There is nothing redeeming about this film. It should have ended Lemmon's career once and for all. Also Glenn Ford's, but he had a reputation as one of the worst actors in Hollywood anyway, a real stiff, no matter what the film.
