He'd probably say the Brits really didn't loose it, and it was a ruse or some such carp.

The war was over by that stage, but yes it was a disaster, packenham was a pretty average commander, and made many errors.

yes, that was the tradgedy of it.

you make mistakes in war and your men die. Yes techically the peace treaty of Ghent had been signed and it was a needless slaughter.
