the image of Stephen Boyd, lying on his back, with his rifle pointed into Joan Collins's hip and stroking the barrel will be with me forever.

I think that was Emma or whatever the girl taken hostage was named, not Joan Collins. I do agree that he was stroking the barrel of his rifle, not a rope. In any event that caught my attention also. He handled that rifle like it was his..........well you know.

Jeez, Boyd was sitting alongside Emma character and had a rope tied to her that he was holding and stroking.

It's been years, but after just now watching that scene again, I have to agree it was indeed a rope and not his rifle.

Watched it last night and am certain it was his rifle. I think some people might just be trolling about the rope...
