I too agree. The contrast of the of the beautiful, sun drenched, pastel palette of the Riviera could not be brought back once the tristesse marked their lives in a way that no amount of Champagne could drown. What a great choice by Preminger.

It could be, but since when do they list stunt people or body doubles; especially back then when the credits were so limited? I may be mistaken but I don't think they did.

These days I think stunt people have their own section in the credits but that’s usually when there’s more than one person. Body doubles are probably a special case. If the director goes to that much trouble to disguise the fact it wasn’t the actor in a scene why would they mention it in the credits? I’d think they’d avoid drawing attention to it. Besides, if someone has a non-speaking bit part, do they get a mention?
