Continental Version?

Does anybdy know if you can get the continental version of the film with the extra footage?

The longest possible version and closest to the Continental release is currently the Italian dvd release.

The continental version is now available in DVD in France (French/english audiotracks). The disc is released by Artus films.

Unfortunately, the Artus release is still incomplete, missing a shot of a needle in the neck of a prisoner. This short is in the previous Italian DVD release by No Shame. But the Artus version has two more shots NOT included in the Italian disc...
The inserts of the "Continental version" are well integrated in Artus version, so it's (in spite of the missing shot) a more satisfying version.
Additionaly, this French DVD also has the English soundtrack. The disc is in Pal of course.
It also has the French dubbing (original of 1958), removable French subs, and a lenghty presentation (in French without subs) by horror movie specialist Alain Petit.
