Funny Momment 1 - when steve sees the dr gettin gobbled up at the window the noises the dr makes trying to get outta the window its funny AH oh aeyyyy lmao!! thats funny!!!!!!

Funny Momment 2 - the sirens and air raids r going off and the old man in bed gets confused on what to wear!!!!!

Funny Momment 3 - when Mooch waves out the bush and sees the 2 teens makin out and he says oh sorry were just lookin for a monster then the way he laughs lmao!!!!!! theres other funny momments in this film!

A classic film. My favourite line is when the blob starts devouring people in the cinema and Dave runs in with a shotgun and comes straight out again and see's Jim running in after him and says "Don't go in Jim! This won't do any good. Its the most horrible thing I've seen in my life!" Awesome!

Long is the way and hard that out of hell leads up to light.

definitely funny .. all the lines mentioned coupled with the really bad acting .. great stuff lol .. the lines that got me were the ones when the cop came back out from the theater haha ..

side note .. the comment about nam .. correct me if I'm wrong but nam was after 58 I believe ?

doc - oh, hello kate, thanks for coming back.

kate - (said with the goofiest look on her face) it's ok, what do you want me to do?

doc - well, you better take his pulse...but don't touch that material on his right hand. it absorbs flesh on contact, like an acid!

it's not so much the words as it is the delivery and expressions.

the whole movie is funny to me.

How about when the principal is about to throw a rock through the school window (with several students around) to break in to the building. I half-expected some of the kids to say "let me do that!"!

The funniest thing about this movie was acting. The fact that when thing get creepy and urgent... all the dialogue and emotion stay exactly-the-same throughout the entire picture! The only thing I guess that changes is the chords on the violin during every exchange between Steve McQueen and the girl he's with!

Without a doubt, the funniest moment is when the Blob is covering the diner, so the police drop the power lines on it. Nothing happens, and after a moment of silence, a fireman simply states, "...It didn't work."
Cracks me up every time.

Man when I was a kid, that scene with the doc freaked the hell out of me every time.

Agree on the other two moments though, also when they're leaving the theater and Mooch says 'not me, I'm part of this chair and I can't move!' I LOVED Mooch when I was a kid, even though he was a minor role he was one of my favorite characters.

My favorite scene is the one where people were running out of cinema - half of them were laughing and smiling. I guess director didn't describe the monster right for them...

Everybody says that but every time I watch this movie I look at the people running out of the theater and I don't see it, they all look terrified to me.

Trust me watch it in slo mo, a majority of the people are laughing. It ruins what should be a terrifying and exciting scene.

Funniest moment to me was the scene in the garage with the trash talking mechanic. Didn't turn out to be his favorite moment though once Blobby got him.

I agree. The trailer shows them running out. What might look like gasps of horror on some are really just smiles and laughter. I think some extras didn't know how to get rid of their giggles!!!
