They sure don't make 'em like this anymore...

Amazing what the Japanese can do in movies, even in the 50's. A bit more advanced than the Blob especially considering they both came out in the same year. What's everybody else think?

I thought this film was a lot of fun. I liked how it cleverly blended horror and crime thriller elements into an engrossing and entertaining multi-genre synthesis. Plus the H-Men were truly scary while the scenes of people dissolving where quite freaky and upsetting. 8 out of 10 from me.

I agree, attack of the mushroom people were a much better way to show the same.

omg! I snuck off with a bread wrapper and a quarter when I was 7 to see this @ the Tower Theatre across a field... it was a double-bill with the "Woman Eater" and I got grounded from seeing Snow White! I wanted one of those "just add water" precursor's (by about 40 years) to Sponge Bob...

H-Man scared the sHt out of me for weeks. I saw it on TV at age 8. I have not seen it since. I am interested to find out what it looks like to me now, 45 years after I originally saw it.

You can get it now on amazon as part of a three DVD set. Nice and has the Japanese and English versions.

I saw this on a Saturday night creature feature when i was about 10 years old sometime in the late 60's. It was one scary ass movie. To me then anyway.
I just picked up that 3 movie dvd from amazon so we shall see if it has the same effect.

And yeah, i should not have been up that late!
