I know it's not important but I am surprised this doesn't rate a lot higher... and with less than 7k votes, I'd have thought it was mostly people who liked this film voting..?
So, what is it that people don't like about 'Bell, Book and Candle'?
Young people generally don't like older movies, since they don't have cgi and reflect the era in which they're made. I think 7 sounds about right for a rating, altho I gave it an 8.
shareYou are so right about the kids who rate these films. No explosions or gunfire and they are generally bored. "Too much talking" is a complaint I've heard many times. No matter, it's an enjoyable movie with a great star (Stewart) and a good supporting cast. It doesn't deserve such a mediocre rating. Plenty of TCM fans will see it for years to come.

shareIt is a bit surprising. When I came here after watching it I was expecting low 7 at least. It has its flaws but nothing severe that I can see. Quite amusing and a high quality production in every aspect. Visually pleasing too, interesting lighting.
