why was mrs carala taken to the police station with julien's friend??

who took the photos of carala and julien in the woods/forest?

she says he husband is in switzerland. would she not have contacted him just to see if he was alive? i assume he would have left for switzerland on some kind of private jet.

when mrs walks in on the two young killers they seem to think nothing of this strange elegant woman walking into their rundown apartment.

the pictures prove they were lovers not killers.

Something I questioned was, how does one "hide first gear" in an automobile's transmission? After the double murder, the young thief apparently had no trouble finding it anyway. Also, the missing expensive Mercedes was never mentioned during the murder investigation.

The police raided the bar where Mrs. Carala was with Julien’s friend (for a reason that was not explained) and either brought everyone in, or everyone who didn’t have ID.

I asked myself the same question about who took the photos. Maybe the little spy camera had a timer?

When the phone operator and the security guard are leaving the building, she (the phone operator) says something like “Mr. Carala must have left already, his train was at 19:45”. Probably he was taking an overnight train to Geneva, so he would have been out of reach. Not sure how realistic it is that a wealthy businessman would make such a journey by train instead of airplane in 1958, though.
