A little logic pokes all kinds of holes in this film. (Spoilers)
Where was Sokurah's ship? We see him running toward the beach, but there's no other ship in sight. Was he marooned? Was he going to have the genie teleport him back to civilization?
If Sokurah has a king's ransom in jewels, why not find another crew who hasn't heard the cyclops? What a shame that Bagdad is the only place in the world where one can find sailors.
The crossbow is a rather impractical method of dealing with the cyclops. The concept is valid, but the bow is apparently so massive that it has to be left on the beach. Was that really their strategy? Hope to outrun the cyclops until they make it to the beach, then open fire?
Lastly, we see that the dragon still regards Sokurah as its master even when it's not restrained. So why didn't he just march the dragon up to where the treasure was and have it fight the cyclops? He's kind of a heartless fellow, so I doubt he regards it as a beloved pet. Even if it died in combat, he'd still be able to get the lamp while the cyclops was distracted.

Yeah, I know. It's a movie. And a very fun one. But it's still kind of amusing how many gaps in logic there are. You just kinda have to accept that things work out the way they work out.
