I always loved that episode. Just watching Alex's face is what really gets to me. Thanks for posting it. I have the Donna Reed Dinner Party CD and the song is on it. It's one of the reasons I love the CD. I

Thanks for sharing. I forgot about the episode and how handsome he grew up to be.

I grew up watching this show on Nickelodeon in the 1980's.

I've bought season 1 and watching season 2 from Netflix now. Eager to see season 3. ; )

I showed the clip to my son and his wife and they didn't get why everyone was crying. I had to explain to them that throughout the episode Jeff's dad was upset at him and they were in a bit of a tiff. I can't remember now all the details, but when you saw the show and then Jeff sang the song, it was all the more poignant because of what had been happening before.

Oh boy, that one is a three hankie. You can see how much Paul Petersen and Carl Betz really cared for each other. I remember reading when Paul was doing drugs after a divorce in real life, that he went and stayed with Carl. Everything I have read about the cast, and have heard from Paul and Shelley on film, was how close they all were in real life until Donna and Carl passed on.

When I watch that clip, it makes me miss my deceased father more and more.

I think that was when his first wife Benda Benet left him for Bill Bixby in the late 60's. I think they were only married for 2-3 years. I'm not sure if he and Bill were friends before his wife cheated on him. Brenda did have a sad life before she died. I wish the show was on ME-TV too. I was born in the late 60's and would love to see shows like Peyton Place, Mod Squad, Room 222 etc.

I haven't see that episode since The 80s on TV Land but I remember it well. It was so sweet!
