what's the hold up with the final 3 seasons, will we EVER see the final 3 seasons on DVD

I agree - been looking forward to seeing "Air Date" in season 6.

I was just wondering the same thing. Season 1-4 is on Hulu. I saw only up to season 5 is on DVD. I'd love to see all seasons released. My sister and I loved watching this show on TV Land in the 80s.

Split ownership. Donna Reed's production company co-produced with Screen Gems (now Sony). Her original contract had the rights to the episodes revert to her (and her estate) after a certain number of years (I think it's 40 or something like that). However, her contract for seasons 6-8 did not contain that provision, so Sony still controls those episodes, and they don't seem to be motivated to sell them on DVD, or even syndicate them.

It's a shame I still can't find the rest of the series on DVD.
