I hear you. I starting watching the show with episode #2. There's a scene at the night club with Stu and his client (Kathleen Crowley).
Can't remember the song title but it struck me how the score of the music stood out in that particular scene.
Usually they'd use the series theme song and play it in the background. But this was different and refreshing too.
As a Warner Brothers show, 77SS had access to the entire WB music catalog. That's why you hear familiar songs in the background.
