Goof-77 Sunset Strip Episode:The Fifth Stair 3/6/59

About 2 mins in, you see a long shot of Stu Bailey pulling into the parking area and Kookie jump up to come park his car as usual. As soon as the closeup view is shown, two men are standing at the door to Dino's Lounge and Kookie is nowhere around

I missed that one. What I think is really cool about those scenes of Dino's and the office next door, especially the long, overhead shots, is what The Strip looked like back in the 1950's. I'm sure the area has been (over) developed since then.

The plot of this episode looked so familiar, too. When I googled the writer, Frederick Knott, I learned he also wrote the script for Dial M For Murder. Ray Milland and Grace Kelly played the Richard Long and Julie Adams roles. They even kept the character's names, the Wendices!

I know it's been mentioned here before about recycling old movie scripts for television, but it's also cool to see how they condensed a two hour movie plot into an excellent 50 minute TV episode!!
