another location used in the film

When Manny is arrested, he's brought to the 104th precinct station house on Catalpa Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens. A friend used to live on Catalpa Avenue and saw Hitchcock and Fonda there when they were filming the scenes. I've tried to add this info to the locations page, but it says "no such location in our list of 10,000 locations". I've about given up trying to add locations and goofs there as it's more trouble than it's worth.

Are you sure they brought him to the 104? I always thought they brought him to the 110 in Elmhurst. Please see my post in the other thread, as I also was brought up in Queens (Corona) during the early 50's.

If my friend saw them on Catalpa Ave., that's pretty conclusive it was the 104.

I've found sources that indicate that Manny was taken to the 110. It's entirely possible that your friend is correct about filming activity at the 104, however. Might have been "friendlier" to film scenes there.

After all, the band scenes at the Stork Club used musicians other than the actual Stork Club rhumba band musicians, so my dad missed his one opportunity to appear in a movie!
