If there was a remake of this film, who would be cast? Here is what I think.
Rock Hunter would be played by Steve Carell.
Rita Marlow - Angelina Jolie? Maybe Catherine Zeta Jones. It definitely needs to be someone Glamorous.
I don't know who would make a good Jenny. Definitely NOT Sarah Jessica Parker. Maybe Jennifer Aniston, or Kate Hudson.
How about Richard Dreyfuss as Irving Lasalle.
Richard Jenkins for Henry Rufus.

shareAngelina Butch Jolie? Glamourous? I don't think so! Catherine Zeta Jones yes, but I don't think she could pull a role like that off. Anna Nicole Smith if she was still alive and really, really worked hard on her acting maybe could have played Rita Marlow. Anna was very funny and had a good sense of humour, but I don't think she would have been up to working hard on her acting, which was a shame. Perhaps Pamela Anderson would be good in that role, she can act, well IMO. I saw her in panto at Christmas she was great, very like Jayne.
