where was that house?

Just wondering if anyone knows the address of Dr Campbell's house. Thought it was interesting that on a typical 50's suburban street that you find this out of place older house. Probably long gone by now, but you never know - Spider Baby house, Great Man's Lady house. With the palm trees down the block, I'm guessing it's in LA somewhere.
Also wonder if those woods in the last scene are still around. Those are probably covered by a subdivision.
Bet Dr Beecher's house is still there!

I wondered the same thing. Outside the Police Station was a street sign. I could not make out the number but the name was Woodbine Street. The number could be made out if the movie could be slowed down enough to read the exact address. The number on the curb of the old house is 3426. The Smith and Salsbury Mortuary has number 3941. There is now Gates, Kingsley and Gates, Smith Salsbury in Culver City, CA. The Hideaway Supper Club I found at "digitallibrary.usc.edu" and the site said it was open from 1951 to 1960. Woodbine Street was shown on Google Earth in West Los Angeles crossing the 10 freeway. It goes a long way north to south. National Blvd is close by. Some day I may drive the route.

The house is gone, as you guessed, as are the woods in back. Dr. Beecher's house has been torn down and replaced by an apartment house, 3401 Mentor.
