I was blown away by this- Boetticher's sort of to the Western what Val Lewton was to the Horror film. Randolph Scott- plus Richard Boone and a young, psychotic Henry Silva- an excellent film. My appreciation:

This is by far my favourite western ... so simple so pure, and it has the best trio of western villains on film ... there are a number of westerns that I like, but this tops them all.
But you ARE Blanche ... and I AM.
