Pan and Scan on TCM

I've never seen this, but the print showing on TCM right now appears to be stretched out for full-screen. Obviously, this is not common practice for TCM. Anybody know what's up?

I noticed it too. Osborne's intro didn't mention the p&s either.

I'm watching this 2 1/2 years later on May 29 and they're showing the same p&s print which has faded like twelve year old denim. Its obviously a orphan film, maybe owned by whoever inherited it from the Mirischs. It could use a thorough restoration. Its a shame.

Watching it myself. And yep. Faded out color, rough print in many spots.

This thing almost looks like someone shot a Super 8 in the theatre. It's pretty awful.

Good film, though.
