Has anyone ever thought that the mirror girl is Anne Morrow, later to become Mrs. Charles Lindbergh? My dad has always been under that impression.

Interesting thought, but I think it's a bit off the mark. You might want to read this wiki biography of Anne Morrow Lindbergh to get an idea of her background and how she met and married Charles Lindbergh. Quite a woman, but "Mirror Girl" she was not. lol

Only symbolically. Certainly in real life Anne did not meet Charles Lindbergh until much later.

Not even symbolically. Mirror girl has nothing whatever to do with Anne. I don't know if this incident is true or not though it has all the earmarks of yet another of the Hollywood contrivances that permeate this movie. The scene certainly looks and sounds invented.

I think Anne and Charles met in 1929; it may have been '28.
