She was such an adorable little kid - who would kill her?

I'm trying to figure out if this movie has the scene I saw on TV years ago.
A little boy is playing with a toy tank and when the Mau Mau attack the ranch he shoots a toy gun out of his window and a Mau Mau that breaks in mistakes it for a real gun and kills the boy with a machete.
When the protagonist returns to the burned down ranch all he finds of the boy is his toy tank.
