It is coming to the Encores Westerns Channel on 1-23-10 at 6:30 P.M. EST

Please check your tv guide for the time in your area. This one has been neglected by tv so don't miss your chance. If you happen to miss it keep watching for it on this channel because they are good about giving us second and third chances. That day there are several good Randolph Scott westerns that day in honor of Mr. Scott's birthday.

This one is a good western and it is too bad they didn't make it in color. Scott is very good as usual and a young Games Garner and Gordon Jones as Scott's army friends are very good. Also Angie Dickenson plays Priscilla King before she was to be famous. Dani Cayne plays Neil Garrison. You can catch Nancy Culp (later Miss Hathaway on tv's The Beverly Hillbillies) in a very brief role as Neil's cleaning lady.

I saw this movie last night and I knew it was good but it was even better than I expected so it is worth seeing. It still is not up to par with some of Scott's late 50s westerns but still good. It is just a shame it wasn't filmed in color.

I'm watching it right now and it is a good movie. Although color would be great I kind of like it in Black and White, it just adds a little "something" to the movie. Thanks for the heads up!

We're watching it now, too. B/W is doing fine. I was just checking on the private -- I remembered him from decades ago. It is a pleasure to watch Garner and Dickinson as youngsters. It is formula, but has good humor built in. Generally good fun all around.
