Great Costume!

I really liked the outfit that the "she creature" wore. I don't care what others think.

I think she should team up with the creature from the Black Lagoon.

I thought the monster was pretty cool as well. I especially liked the horns on her face.

I was shocked to find that this movie isn't as bad as many people seem to think, but that could be mainly because I was focused on the performance of Chester Morris, one of my favorites from the 1930s who adds some DESPERATELY needed class to the proceedings.

And, again being a contrarian, I thought the costume was ludicrous, but primarily because for some reason they saw fit to give mammalian breasts to this amphibian. I suppose that was done just so the audience could tell it was a SHE creature, but shouldn't the title have done that without making her look ridiculously stacked? Sheesh. 6/10, mainly because of Mr. Morris.

Wasn't this monster costume reused elsewhere? I seem to remember reading about this costume being used in another feature, sans the antennae.

Apparently "Voodoo Woman" from 1957:

"Features the same monster from The She-Creature (1956), but this time wearing (c) different face and a blonde wig". Same director, too, and a similar cast, with Marla English and Tom Conway.

Is this on DVD?

Kramer: ...he was very impressed with what I do.
Elaine: What you do? You don't do anything!
